Citysearch Names Christophe Louvion Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Core Products

Christophe is a well-respected technology executive with an impressive track record," said Jay Herratti, CEO of Citysearch. "His proven accomplishments and the breadth of his experience will be a valuable asset to CityGrid as we continue to expand our reach and grow our reputation as the leading content and ad network for local."
In his new role, Louvion will be responsible for the management of CityGrid's ad and content engine, in addition to Citysearch's search and data platform. The entire technology organization will also report into Louvion.
"Citysearch really captured my attention because of the innovative work they've done with CityGrid and what it means for the future of the local space," said Louvion. "Now that I'm onboard, I'm looking forward to helping continue to evolve the CityGrid network to connect consumers with relevant local business information across all reaches of the Web."
Louvion most recently served as chief technology officer for Gorilla Nation Media, overseeing web publishing, ad technology, product development, ad trafficking and sales integrations. Prior to that, he held key positions with BizRate.com and Shopzilla. As a vice president at Shopzilla, first of content operations and then product development, he played a major role in scaling-up efforts supporting the growth of the company's revenue stream from $60 million in 2004 to over $200 million in 2007. In addition, Christophe holds the designation of being one of the few Scrum coaches worldwide. He is recognized for lean implementation in the software industry.
Louvion earned his Masters in Computer Science from Ecole Superieure d'Informatique et Application de Lorraine and his Bachelor's degree in Math from Universite Henri Poincare.
